We have come a long way since selling our first batches of beer in early 2016 from our modest Astoria brewery. Beer production has grown, our taproom has grown, and our team has grown. We’re feeling like a new company lately!

Our 2023 Grand Opening is a major milestone, a focal point that we’ve been working toward for seven years.

Focal Point Beer Co feels like the perfect name to represent ourselves and our new path. It better represents where we are, and our exciting plans for the future.

Longtime fans + customers - don’t worry! The company has not changed hands. Your favorite beers aren’t going away. We’re as dedicated as ever to producing a diverse range of high quality beer…and we’re excited to now offer more beers than ever!

Like many of you, we are fond of the name ICONYC. It’s worth noting, though, that the name has caused a good deal of confusion over the years. Every week we encounter people who aren’t sure how to say it, or what the hell it even is lol. No more ‘Ico NYC’ or ‘Icon YC’ or other permutations. We are relieved that we now have a name that everyone will be able to say.
